Web3 & Platform Glossary

AI Score

Our proprietary algorithm that evaluates X posts based on four key metrics: engagement potential (40%), creativity (30%), relevance to campaign (20%), and audience targeting (10%). Scores range from 0-100 with detailed feedback.

Campaign

A time-limited promotional event created by advertisers where content creators can submit posts to earn rewards. Campaigns have specific goals, content requirements, reward structures, and durations.

Content Analyzer

An AI-powered tool that evaluates tokenized posts in the marketplace, providing performance predictions, audience analysis, and ROI estimates to help buyers make informed decisions.

Creator

A user who creates and submits content to campaigns on Tops.fun. Creators can earn rewards based on their content's performance and can tokenize high-performing posts.

Tokenized Post

An X post that has been converted into an NFT on the Solana blockchain, representing ownership of the post's earning potential within campaigns and allowing it to be bought, sold, or traded in the marketplace.

NFT (Non-Fungible Token)

A unique digital asset stored on a blockchain that represents ownership of a specific item, in this case, a social media post's earning potential and associated rights.

Blockchain Account

A secure digital identity on the Solana blockchain that the platform manages for you, enabling you to own digital assets, receive rewards, and participate in the marketplace without needing technical blockchain knowledge.

SOL

The native cryptocurrency of the Solana blockchain used for transaction fees and rewards. SOL powers all operations on the Solana network and is the primary token for rewards on Tops.fun.

USDC

USD Coin, a stablecoin cryptocurrency that's pegged to the US dollar (1 USDC = $1), commonly used for reward payments on Tops.fun to provide price stability.

Engagement

Interactions with a post including likes, retweets, quotes, replies, and link clicks on X (formerly Twitter). Engagement metrics are tracked in real-time and factor into a post's AI score and campaign performance.

Gas Fee

A small transaction fee paid to Solana network validators for processing blockchain transactions. Solana's fees are typically very low (less than $0.001 per transaction) compared to other blockchains.

Smart Contract

Self-executing code deployed on the Solana blockchain that automatically manages transactions and enforces rules for campaigns, rewards distribution, and marketplace functionality without intermediaries.

Web3

A new iteration of the internet incorporating decentralization, blockchain technologies, and token-based economics. Tops.fun bridges traditional social media with Web3 through tokenization and blockchain rewards.

SSO (Single Sign-On)

A login mechanism that allows users to access Tops.fun using their existing X account credentials without creating a separate username and password.

Reward Pool

The total amount of tokens allocated to a campaign that will be distributed to participating creators based on their post performance and the campaign's distribution model.

Distribution Model

The formula that determines how a campaign's reward pool is divided among participants. Models include tiered (fixed percentages for top performers), proportional (based on scores), and threshold (minimum score required).

Content Requirements

Specific guidelines set by campaign creators that posts must follow to be eligible for rewards. These may include hashtags, mentions, themes, or content elements.

Marketplace

The platform section where tokenized posts can be bought and sold. The marketplace facilitates trading of post NFTs, with their associated campaign reward potential transferring to new owners.
